Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
